The Intelligence Bureau (IB) under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has announced its 2025 recruitment drive for 362 Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS – General) posts. This is a rare opportunity for 10th-pass candidates to join a top central intelligence agency with all-India transfer liability.

Eligibility

  1. 1. Educational Qualification
  2. Candidates must have passed Matriculation / 10th standard or its equivalent from a recognized board.
  3. They also need a valid domicile certificate of the state/UT for which they are applying, as on the closing date (14 Dec 2025).
  4. 2. Age Limit
  5. Minimum: 18 years
  6. Maximum: 25 years (as on 14 December 2025)

  1. Total Posts: 362 MTS (General)
  2. These are spread across 37 Subsidiary Intelligence Bureaux (SIBs) nationwide.
  3. For example, 108 posts are at IB Headquarters (Delhi).
  4. Reservation applies for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwBD, and Ex-servicemen per central government norms.

  1. UR / OBC / EWS (Male): ₹650
  2. SC / ST / PwBD / Eligible Ex-Servicemen / Women: ₹550

  1. Visit the official MHA website (mha.gov.in) or the NCS (National Career Service) portal.
  2. Register with your details and create login credentials.
  3. Fill out the application form: personal details, education, domicile, category, etc.
  4. Upload scanned documents as required.
  5. Pay the application fee.
  6. Submit the form and take a printout of the confirmation page for futurnce.

  1. Tier-I – Online Objective Exam (General Awareness, Numerical Ability, Reasoning, English)
  2. Tier-II – Descriptive English Test (qualifying in nature)
  3. Document Verification for shortlisted candidates
  4. Medical Examination before final appointment
